Last week we were asked if we wanted to have our profile shown. The agency usually does this if the placement is above your budget or outside your APQ (Adoption Planning Questionnaire).
The birth mom is due this Wednesday. We gave the ok to have it shown even though it was a little outside our range.
Found out today the birth mom chose another family. Basically, I had a week of major anxiety over nothing! I'm glad the agency doesn't notify us every time our profile is shown.
Back to waiting.

ReplyDeleteOhh darn!
ReplyDeleteOh those emotions going up and down must be crazy! Hugs!!!
ReplyDeleteIt'll happen... hang in there!
ReplyDeleteI am glad we don't hear about it everytime too! I am sorry this didn't work out, but it's awesome two people have really liked your profile so far!
ReplyDeleteDang, I can't imagine how stressful that must have been! That's great though that you guys have had so much interest.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you, and hoping your match is right around the corner!
ReplyDeleteI keep checking this blog and want you to know I am waiting with you. So many disappointments you have had to endure. Someday, I am sure it will all be worth the wait. I am eagerly looking forward to that for you two.
ReplyDeleteI am writing back to your post here. 559! I hope that was a misprint for the adoptive families. I just looked again and it says "255" but yeah, still up 25 families from when you signed on, which is like 10%, so... a lot. I do worry about it a bit, thanks for letting me know I am not the only one. I think their website's been a little glitchy too, the forum hasn't been working. If you ever need to chat about the agency, feel free to shoot me an email.
